Brad had taken the time back in the late 80's and early 90's to paint several great white egret paintings during the years he was being published by his publisher Mill Pond Press which was located in Venice, Florida. Between signing his prints to be sold through galleries around the country Brad would take in all the local wildlife and the great white egret was one of his favorite subjects to paint while down there.
